Bath and Body Works Mist Review

I completely forgot that I didn't upload this review! Here is a review for the Bath and Body works Mist in Japanese Cherry Blossom.

This bottle is 8 fl oz and is a Fine Fragrance Mist. Also, if anyone has noticed, if you have shopped at BBW over the past years, the bottle has changed. I kind of liked the old bottle shape but this is nice too and I like that they have designs on them now. The old ones just had the name of the scent in the middle of the bottle.

On the BBW website it describes the scent as a "Graceful blend of Pear, Japanese Cherry Blossom and Cedarwood." When I put this on, I could definitely smell all three scents. The one that stood out more, of course was the Japanese Cherry Blossom. It smells very floral and I LOVE that it is not too strong. I hate those overpowering scents that is just too much and gives you and even people around you a headache. This does none of that and it is a very pleasant scent that all ages can wear. The scent last as long as any other mist fragrance, for a few hours.

I give this product an A. It is a beautiful "happy" scent, long lasting, and even the bottle is pleasant to see. I keep this on my dresser with my other perfumes and body mists.

This 8 fl oz is $14 and can be bought at Bath and Body works stores and on Bathandbodyworks.com
Also, since it is the Holiday season, right now the store has a lot of coupons. As of right now I know they have three; 20% off a purchase, buy $15 of products and get a free item of your choice (up to $13) if you're lucky you can find a coupon for a free item (up to $10) with a $10 purchase, and last one I can find is a $10 off $30.

NYC Liquid Shine Lip Gloss

Hello, finally I get to post another review lol sorry about lagging, school started so I am busy with that, but I have time to do a review! :D

I got this from Influenster about two months ago. This the the new NYC liquid shine glosses. I got mine in 582 Nude York City. ( I love puns on make-up products and nail polishes lol)

As you can see it is a nice nude color with beautiful shimmer. The claim on the package is that it is not suppose to be one of those super sticky glosses, and it is kind of true. All though you can feel it being sort of sticky, it is not that annoying sticky that you can feel every time you talk. So that's a plus!
As you can see the applicator is thin and flat, I love this because when i apply it, it doesn't add on too much gloss and it is very flexible when i move it around my lips.

Here is another picture that shows the width of the brush.

Overall I give this Lip Gloss an A. The color is nice, it is not too sheer and you can see a little bit of the true color that is on the package. I plus for me because if it really was that nude, I don't think it would be flattering on me. But i love the way it looks on my lips. Especially now that it's winter, this would look nice for a day look, and you can add this on top of a nude or even light pink lipstick.

Thanks for reading and I'll have another review up soon.

You can get this at Target, Rite-aid or also you can go on the newyorkcolor website to find the nearest store by you that sell their products! :)

Transit of Venus 2012

Hi everyone! I wanted to do a blog post about my experience of the Transit of Venus. It happened June 5, 2012. I was very excited about this because this was the first time in years that Los Angeles would have been able to see Venus move across the sun. The last time it was seen from LA was in 1882!! I love astronomy so this type of stuff gets me super excited. I begged my boyfriend to take me and he was up for it. :D We went to the Griffith Observatory.  We knew it would be crowded and didn't want to take any chances, so we planned ahead and decided to park at the bottom and hike it up to the Obeservatory. It took us around 25 minutes to get up there but it was worth it. It was  crowded but we got there in time and were able to see everything we wanted.
Many people volunteered to have their telescopes there so it was really nice to see it in person and with our own eyes rather than seeing it on a screen like the Observatory had inside the building. Here is a picture I took of one of the telescopes. The big white circle is the sun and I don't know if you can see it well (sorry!) on the right side that tiny dot is Venus! There was a very cool telescope we saw that showed the sun in its true colors and we were able to see the sun flares, that one was really cool!

We saw a lot of people wearing some glasses that looked like old 3-D glasses ( remember having those with red and blue lenses, those were fun to have lol) We asked where they got them and they said the gift shop. After seeing all the telescopes we went there to get some, as a souvenir and also they said we can use them for solar eclipses as well. We were able to use them and they did work but it wasn't as good as the telescopes, still neat to have for the future solar eclipses though.

As we were at the checkout I saw a box of these pins and I knew I had to have one! and for 69 cents who can resist haha My boyfriend bought us both each of one. I was excited I wore mine all day lol

8:02 was the last time to see the Transit of Venus until 2117! It was indeed a fun day and we stayed there until the transit was over. We would've stayed longer but we forgot we hiked it up there and we had to go back down early before it got too dark for us. I will never forget the day and I'm glad I was able to experience something that doesn't come too often. Especially being able to experience it with someone who understands my excitement about astronomy and everything outside our world that not too many people think about or aren't passionate about Astronomy as much as I am. The next program Griffith has is a Public Star Party, it's a chance for everyone to see the sun, moon, and visible planets, and to try various telescopes. I want to go to that so bad but I will be out of town that week, but I'l be writing a post about that soon ;)

Sheer Cover Review

I want to review a new product I got from the Influenster Spring VoxBox. I got a sample of the Sheer Cover Duo Concealer. I don't usually buy concealers because I don't really know how to use them. I have a powder one from Avon but that's basically it. I really should buy some though because I do have dark circles and acne spots, curse you adult acne! lol

Anyways, when I first saw it I was so happy it came in my shade, which is Medium/Tan. The packaging is a clear lid with an open/close clasp top.

My skin tone is none of these alone but once I mix both together it matches my skin tone perfectly.

The way I use it is i mix both shades with my finger and tap it onto my dark circles and any acne scars I have. Sometimes, I either blend it onto my skin or I use a concealer brush, either way they both work for me. After that, I let it dry for a bit and put on my foundation. I use the FitMe Maybelline liquid foundation, so since they are both non-powders it does not look cakey on my skin.

Info about Sheer Cover Conealer:
-It is 0.05 oz
- Comes in 5 shades
- Has Antioxidant protection
-Easy Application (you can use your fingers, brush, or cosmetic sponge)

I highly recommend this product because it comes in various shades and it is creamy it blends onto the skin perfect and last for hours.  And since I am kind of new to cream concealers I think I did a good job putting this one on. So even if you are new at concealers this is a very easy concealer to work with.

You can get this concealer at Sheercover.com

A Little Bit About Myself

Hmm.... well I seem I forgot about introducing myself lol

My name is Jacqueline but my friends call me Jackie or even Ellie and sometimes my boyfriend calls me Jack. Oh ya, I have a boyfriend of 6 years :)  We started dating in high school when i was 16 and he was 15. I know, I'm older than him by 6 months so it was fun being 21 before him. lol  I LOVE Disneyland and everything Disney. I have an annual pass so i go as many times as I can with him and my friends. One thing I love to do is travel and explore new things. I may not be able to afford to go to other countries but living in California, there is a lot of places to explore. Like last week my boyfriend and I hiked it to the Griffith Observatory to see Venus transit pass the Sun. Maybe I should do a post about that because it was very fun. I guess last thing I can see is that i have a cat! His name is Figaro, named after the cat from Pinocchio's cuz it looks like him,  and I've had him for 3 years now, he's a Tuxedo cat and I love him to death, even thought he is usually grumpy lol We also have a dog but he's more my mom's dog his name is spunky, Names after Rocko's dog from Rocko's Modern Life.

Can You Sense the love in this Photo? lol

Anyways I have no idea what else to talk about lol If u happen to see this thanks for looking at it, and if you would like to see a review on anything just comment and let me know, I always buy a lot of drugstore products and find lots of thing that most  people don't usually buy but are still useful. So feel free to comment and let me know what you would life to see :)

My first blog post

Well this will be my first blog post ever! I never done a blog before so bare with me lol I doubt this will get any hits, or maybe at least one, but I am doing this just to show every girl (or boy) new make-up products or even anything else I buy that may be helpful for anyone. I always look up blogs to see any reviews of make-up, clothing, and just random other things, but I can never seem to find any. This blog will be reviews or just showing items that not that many people post about. So if you are the 1 person to read this, then thanks lol and I hope to show a lot of you guys new interesting (and cheap things) you can buy and see if they are worth buying or not. :)

Also sorry if I seem to ramble I am getting the hang of this slowly so I hope to improve soon :)
